Two years ago today we opened the studio! I’m still in shock thinking we have made it two years! Prior to those two years we booked suites in hotels to photograph our clients. With having a new studio we needed a model to help build the new portfolio of new images. Kathe was one of our first models we photographed in 2020.
A year later Kathe brought her mom into the studio. They each had a boudoir session done. The best part is they got to experience having their hair and makeup done together.
This first outfit I was dying for her to wear. I asked Kathe if she would be ok with doing something more Pinup. Her sweet vintage heart was all in. The shoes for this session were from her personal collection. We had so much fun with this part of the shoot. At one point Terri Kathe’s mom yelled out. “She needs her cigarettes. Someone grab them!” It only added to the vintage nature of the shoot.
This Florida beauty stopped by while she was in Wisconsin for work. We had such an amazing time working with her. She absolutely shines in front of the camera. Her smile is contagious. She wanted this to be a gift for her boyfriend as well as herself. So against her better judgement she wore Florida Gator attire just for her man! lol!
Ryley is the other half of the friend duo from Ashley’s session. Ryley has some of the most gorgeous and well placed sexy tattoos I have photographed. My favorites are the ones on her thighs.
Ryley’s first outfit was the sexy emerald mermaid dress from our Sparkle Wardrobe. Her dark hair and this dress were a gorgeous combination. Her eyes were absolute magic in these images. The second outfit is one from Shein. This is also in our Sparkle Wardrobe. Ryley had seen this on our group page and had to have it. The final outfit is my absolute favorite. Nothing but a white sheet.
If you are interested in a boudoir shoot but you are nervous I suggest booking with a friend. Friends are the best support. They are also your biggest cheerleaders!
I recommend for this shoot a 9 Up Frame. Added to any package it is an additional $377 and you get all the matching digital files. Love how this one turned out. It’s all about the gorgeous details.
There are some sessions that inspire us. Push us to do new things. This was definitely one of them.
Many of our clients are nervous when they first come in. Elana’s biggest concern was that she didn’t know how to pose herself. I was thankful she let me know this. I assured her that is where my experience comes in. I would be guiding her through each pose.
Elana brought with a gorgeous sequin and chiffon dress. She has yet to be able to wear this dress due to events being canceled. Let’s just say this dress speaks for itself. The added touch of a wine glass was such a gorgeous addition to these images.
Now let’s get to the one that blew my mind! I decided to get wild and use colored gels on my constant lights. I wanted to bring a fresh look I don’t see with other boudoir photographers. We have since used this set up twice. The results are wild and sexy. Let us know your thoughts on this set up.
Huge shout out to Elana for trusting us with her session! xoxo
Rachel is a previous client of ours. Her sparkling eyes and gorgeous smile were perfect for this project. I reached out to Rachel to see if she would be interested in modeling for our newest behind the scenes video. She was quick to accept the offer! Most of this session I had styled but encouraged Rachel to bring anything she wanted. In the end her leopard bodysuit was by far my favorite outfit from this session!
The gorgeous Christina booked her session with her cousin for an amazing girl’s day! Christina’s only request is that we incorporate her husband’s dress shirt and tie in her session. I think that is the part of the session she really started to shine.
Recently Brooke shared these amazing words with her favorite photos from the session. With her permission I give you her heartfelt words.
“Real Talk…. Confidence and positive self esteem is something I’ve struggled with for as long as I can remember. Something I’ve managed to just deal with and tolerate all these years. Biggest issue now, I’m raising two amazing daughters who are incredible, and beautiful, and smart, and so much more. However, I can’t help but notice and fear that my poor self esteem and body shaming of myself has or will rub off on them. How can I feed them all these positive amazing words of beauty, when I then look at my own self and struggle to find any positivity or beauty in the mirror.
This post isn’t to look for compliments or any words of positivity. This post is to simply raise awareness on body positivity to all women. All shapes. All sizes. And more importantly, to stop caring and worrying what others see in you, and simply focus on finding and seeing beauty in yourself.
These past 6 months I’ve struggled yet again, with being at my heaviest and unhealthiest, and with finding myself and being okay with the woman I am and the mistakes I’ve made in life. So I changed my mind set and started doing more of what makes me happy, healthy hobbies, and surrounding myself with the right people. At 33, I’m okay with admitting that I’m still growing and still learning.
I’m still working on my positive mindset, in all aspects. But I know I’m not alone.
We need to stop comparing ourselves to others. Live in the moment. Develop Awareness. Stay connected to yourself. Stop judging yourself and others. Let go of how you think things should be. Prioritize your needs. Embrace the awkwardness. Affirm your value and challenge the negative.”
