Kaitlyn wanted to book a session for a perfect Christmas present. Her boyfriend had been going through some medical issues. Kaitlyn thought this would be the perfect way to cheer him up.

All of the outfits were brought in by Kaitlyn. Most of the outfits and shoes were purchased on Amazon! My favorite outfit by far is her boyfriend’s work shirt. During the shoot I said we need some tools to add to this. Surprise, our hair stylist had a bunch of her husband’s tools in her car. Let’s just say size matters and she had a huge wrench in her car!

Two years ago today we opened the studio! I’m still in shock thinking we have made it two years! Prior to those two years we booked suites in hotels to photograph our clients. With having a new studio we needed a model to help build the new portfolio of new images. Kathe was one of our first models we photographed in 2020.

A year later Kathe brought her mom into the studio. They each had a boudoir session done. The best part is they got to experience having their hair and makeup done together.

This first outfit I was dying for her to wear. I asked Kathe if she would be ok with doing something more Pinup. Her sweet vintage heart was all in. The shoes for this session were from her personal collection. We had so much fun with this part of the shoot. At one point Terri Kathe’s mom yelled out. “She needs her cigarettes. Someone grab them!” It only added to the vintage nature of the shoot.

I’m always excited when our client walks through the door. They are normally a little nervous. Maybe even a little shy. I know that the final outcome is going to blow her away. I am not worried. I’m not shy. I will be there to guide you through this awesome process.

The sweet, sexy, spicy and wonderful Allison took a few minutes to answer some questions. We hope this inspires you to book your session!

What inspired you to book your session?

I was inspired to book my own session with Christine because being a plus size woman all my life, I’ve had a bad habit of doubting my own beauty. I felt like I could use a little confidence boost and after seeing Christine’s beautiful work- I decided to book a session of my own!

Did you have any hesitations?

At first the thought of being so vulnerable in front of someone new was nerve wracking- but I knew that this was a way to celebrate and take care of me. From the moment I arrived Christine and her team made me feel very welcome and comfortable! The nerves didn’t stick around long at all!

How did you feel during your session?

Amazingly, I felt like a rock star during my session! Christine was always so responsive to my movements and how I followed her instructions to pose- it made me feel like a million bucks! Each pose made me feel powerful and I was so excited to see the end results! It was hard to be patient!

For your session you received professional hair and make up. What did you think of the results?

As if Christine wasn’t amazing enough… I loved the results of my hair and make up! The make up artist listened to my ideas and made sure to help me put my best foot (errr… face) forward (I may have forgotten to tweeze my eyebrows a little- and she helped out!) The hair stylist was fun and knew the perfect way to tease/curl my straight, simple hair. I looked (and felt) like a total bombshell!

What advice would you give to those who are looking to book a session?

If anyone else out there is thinking about booking a session I would say… JUST GO FOR IT. Celebrate yourself as you are in this moment- no waiting for x,y, or z. You deserve it today and always. Regardless of your age, size, color, etc. I think its so important for everyone to feel beautiful. Lets be honest, in this world full of magazines and beauty standards- we can sometimes forget how worthy and beautiful we truly are. Christine and her team truly have a knack for making you feel comfortable and stunning. The photos are just a powerful reminder of ones own strength and beauty. I do not regret my session one bit- and I don’t think you will either!

“I have been a sparkler for a while, but have always been nervous about being in front of the camera. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in January, Christine’s sister, and my friend, encouraged me to book a session and embrace where I was in that moment before my life would change.”

“When i arrived on location that day I was still very nervous, but as soon as I walked in the door I was treated like an old friend! Christine, and team, made me feel so beautiful and comfortable! I totally owned it and had a blast! My first outfit was a velvet blue dress that Christine had, I would never have picked out for myself. I felt so sexy!”

“This is an amazing team of uplifting strong women. I am forever grateful for these memories and experience. I think it’s so important for women to feel beautiful in the skin they are in. We will always have things we don’t love about our bodies. Christine listened to my insecure nervous babble about my body, but after she started shooting I completely forgot about all of that! I can’t wait to do it again!!!”

Window Light

Almost any photographer will tell you their preferred light source is natural light. Posing their subject next to beautiful diffused light makes for gorgeous images. Part of this session is the lovely Miss Danielle sitting directly in the window. The rest of the images are here posed on the bed. A second light was needed for the bed as the natural light wasn’t enough to light it perfectly.

The window images show a vulnerability and are more intimate where she is seated in the corner of the window. The images where Danielle is laying in the center of the window her entire body shown are the most powerful. She owns that window and her body. Gorgeous.
